Peter R. Mannion – passed away at home in Woburn at age 83 on Monday, March 28, 2022 with his beloved family by his side. He was the loving husband of Bernadette “Bonnie” Mawn White. Peter was born in Mount Vernon, New York. He was the son of the late William L. and Helen (Wizenborn) Mannion.
When Peter was young, his family moved to Brooklyn, New York where he and his siblings were raised and educated. He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School before receiving his Associate Degree in Business at The King’s College in New York City. Peter maintained a long career in the oil industry before retiring in 2004.
Peter married Geraldine “Geri” A. Pisklak and they were devoted to each other for forty-two years. Together they raised their daughter and three sons. He was a wonderful and dedicated father who was incredibly proud of his children. The family traveled all around the country and abroad. They had countless adventures — many of which include fond memories of camping around the east coast. Peter and Geri shared a life of love until she sadly passed in 2005.
Later, Peter moved to Woburn, where he was introduced to Bonnie by a mutual friend. Their friendship was instantaneous, and they fell in love. They were married for fifteen years, and their partnership brought their two families together bonded by love. Together they shared a home by Horn Pond which was always filled with laughter, loyalty, and their faith.
Bonnie and Peter loved to travel — both as a couple and with great groups of friends. They traveled to Ireland, on river cruises, and they enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter. Peter was an adventurer with a twinkle in his eye who charmed everyone he met.
While he loved to travel, his love for his family always brought him back home. Peter could often be found sitting on the back deck of the house overlooking the pond. Come rain, sun, or snow, he was tremendously proud of their home and could be spotted enjoying a cup of tea with breakfast outside. He found pride in his garden and found great peace in the beauty of the nature surrounding him.
Peter was a man of tremendous faith. Throughout his life, he was a dedicated servant to his church and parish. He served as Eucharistic Minister, on parish councils and volunteered any opportunity that he could. He was a supporter and friend of the children of Nigeria.
Peter was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, stepfather, brother. His warm embrace and his loving personality will forever be his legacy. He lived a tremendous life and will be missed by all.

It was an honor and privilege to know Peter and be in his company. He reflected what is the best of all of us in this world, compassion, kindness and faith. He will be greatly missed, but greatly remembered by us.
