Norma C. (Conner) Osgood – of Woburn, peacefully, March 27th with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Allen F. Osgood. Cherished mother of Steven Osgood of Woburn, Susan Slishman, her husband Steven of Scituate, David Osgood of TX, Allen Osgood, Jr., his wife Molly of CA, Nancy Osgood, her fiancé Peter Barbagallo of Woburn.  Adored grandmother of Spencer, Phillip, and Emily and extended family, Amber and Tory Barbagallo.  Due to the current situation we are experiencing with the Corona Virus, arrangements are private and under the direction of the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn. Norma C. (Conner) Osgood – a longtime resident of Woburn and retired teacher, died peacefully March 27th at her home at the age of ninety with her family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of the late Allen F. Osgood. 

Norma was the daughter of the late George Conner and Frances M. (Moore) Byrnes.  She was born in Newton, MA and raised in East Hartford, CT.  Norma was educated in CT and a graduate of St. Joseph’s College.

For over 20 years, Norma taught for the Woburn Public Schools at the Hurld Elementary School.  After retiring from teaching, Norma sold real estate for Joanne Mulkerin Realty and volunteered at the New England Rehabilitation Center for another 20 years.  Norma also volunteered for and served on various charitable organizations.  She was a long time member of the Woburn Middlesex Lions Club.

Norma cherished her time with family and friends.  She was very proud of and adored her grandchildren Spencer, Phillip and Emily.  Norma loved family visits and hosting family and friend gatherings.  In recent years, Norma enjoyed time at the Woburn Senior Center with her newly found friends. She lived with grace, humor, and empathy and always made the best of life.

    Aunt Irene was a kind and loving women, I would call her my other Nana! She inspired me to became a Teacher, When I was younger she would tell me about her students. To my Osgood Family love and prayers!
