OBITUARY

Peter P. Passerini passed away at Care One Nursing Center in Wilmington, Sunday morning January 15th, at the age of sixty seven. Peter was the beloved husband of Kathleen Farraher Passerini.

Peter was the son of the late Peter A. and Alba Teresa (Camelio) Passerini. Born in Cambridge , were Peter was raised until the age of fourteen, having moved to Woburn while in Junior High School. Peter continued on in the Woburn Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1970.

Peter continued on at a Technical School, where he became a licensed and certified technician of business machines. Upon completion he secured himself a position at Northern Business Machines as a technician, where he remained for a good number years until his retirement.

Three years following high school Peter married the true love of his life, Kathleen Farraher of Malden. Together they nestled into their home in Woburn, where they have remained over the years. As Peter and Kathleen raised their family they would spend many happy vacations at Hampton Beach with family and friends each year. That was a time that Peter really enjoyed, as he was a very hard worker working a lot of hours each week. This was the time he spent every hour with his family, enjoying long walks on the beach, fun in the ocean, sand and sun and all those wonderful cookouts in the evening with family and friends.

Peter was very devoted to his wife and children and any time he wasn’t working then it was always time spent with family. Peter was a man of very strong, moral and ethical values, which he passed along to each one of his children.

A New England sports fan Peter cheered on all the Boston home teams, but the most cherished sport of them all was baseball. From the outstanding Red Sox to the amazing Little League teams here in Woburn, he was their strongest supporter. For years Peter was very active in Little League here as he coached and managed many little league teams over the years. Peter’s other passion in baseball was being the umpire! He again over the years had served in Woburn L.L. as Umpire and Chief of the League. Peter was a late member of the greater Lowell Umpire Assoc.

Sadly Peter was predeceased by his parents and his brother Ronald Passerini.

He is lovingly survived by his dear wife of forty three years Kathleen, his children Anthony Passerini, his wife Laureen of NH, Peter J. “PJ” Passerini, his wife Kathy Williams of Woburn, Andrea Keough, her husband Sean of Woburn. Devoted brother of Patrick Passerini, his wife Joyce of Wakefield. Dear brother in law of Jane Passerini of Arlington, Diane Farraher-Smith, her husband James of Saugus, and Mark Farraher, his wife Debra of Tewksbury. Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Katelyn, Olivia, Matthew, Daniel and James. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. A Funeral will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Saturday afternoon, January 21st at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call at the Funeral Home Saturday from 10 – 1:45 prior to the Funeral.
