John Peter LeFave passed away at the Lahey Clinic Friday afternoon, April 29th. The beloved husband of Frances “Fran” (Tiso) LaFave, he was sixty six years of age.

Born in Winchester , he is the son of George LeFave of Florida and the late Jane (Tubec) LeFave. Raised and educated in Woburn, John was a graduate of Reading High School, with the Class of 1967. While he was in High School working, he met Fran Tiso who was also working working at the store, next door! They began dating and in 1968 married and have journeyed together over the next forty eight years .

John worked as a machinist over the years and actually had been a Quality Control Inspector for Machine Parts and Medical Machines with the Government.

They brought a son into the world of whom they are so proud. They were involved in all of Dana’s activities both in and out of school. Always pitching in wherever they were needed throughout. They began helping out at Saturday soccer and for close to thirty years now, both John and Fran have been extremely active in the Youth Soccer Program. From setting up the fields and teams to making popcorn, hot dogs and serving slush till his hand froze, was an every Saturday event in the spring.

  1. Fran. I was so sorry to hear about your husband’s passing, while I was in Market Basket today. I was shocked. I know what you’re going through. Believe me. I am here if you need to talk or get together or anything. He will always be apart of you. Take it one day at a time. Love, Deb
