OBITUARY

Christopher “Chris” Connors passed away at Mass General Hospital Saturday, April 9th, after being stricken at his home several days earlier. The beloved son of Nancy (Flynn) Connors of Woburn and the late James Connors, he was forty eight years of age.

Born in Everett, he was raised and educated in Woburn. A very athletic young man, he was active in Pop Warner football, Little League, and Babe Ruth. Living in the South End of Woburn, Chris was also available for any “pick up “ games at the parks. Throughout high school Chris was very active in all the sports and activities, graduating with the Class of 1985.

Following high school Chris pursued his interest in carpentry and went on to become a flourishing member of the Local Union, remaining very busy throughout the years.

Chris also continued his sporting interests while continuing to play on the Irish American Softball Team for a good many years and would venture off on some hunting excursions with friends. Deep sea fishing in the Atlantic, in and about Charlestown and at Horn Pond always kept him happy and by the water.

Throughout the years Chris’ family meant the world to him. A very kind hearted and fun loving person, “Uncle” always took time to spend with his nieces and nephews. Chris also shared a very special relationship with his parents, brothers, sister and a host of friends that go all the way back to high school.

Sadly, Chris is predeceased by his father, James Connors.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Nancy Connors (Flynn)of Woburn, his siblings, Nancy A. Leydon and her husband Joe of Woburn, James M. Connors Jr. and his wife Tonja of Chelmsford and Patrick Connors and his wife Kelly of Dracut. Chris is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Patrick, Ryan, Connor, Meghan, Derek, Chrystina, Jake, Shaun and Patrick as well as his beloved cat “Stinky”.
