OBITUARY:
William C. Bill Miller passed away Friday evening, March 7th, after a short illness. The beloved husband of Carole (Dolham) Miller, he was fifty-six years of age.
Born in Belmont, he was the son of the late Charles and Geraldine E. (Hamilton) Miller. After living in Belmont for a brief time, the Miller family moved to California, and then to Woburn where the family remained. They lived in the West Side and Bill attended Woburn Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1975.
While working at a plaza in Lexington part time he was introduced to the young lady who worked next door, Carole Dolham. Well, the rest is history. In 1981 they were married and they too made their home in the West Side of the city. Together they brought four children into the world, three daughters and a son. His children were his world. He was completely devoted to each one, having participated in all his childrens academic and sporting events. Be it soccer or hockey, if he wasnt there as the coach, he was an active parent participator. Summers for the most part were always enjoyed in New Hampshire and different beaches along the shore.
Bills profession surrounded engineering. He had worked for Wang Computers, Robotics Engineering, PRI, and Brooks Automation in Chelmsford. He travelled all over the world, his favorite and most frequent visits to Singapore.
Working on his home was always enjoyment for Bill. He kept his lawn meticulously manicured, and always took great pride in its appearance.
Riding his bike, walking Horn Pond, or visiting the beach, Bill lived a very active and full life. He loved his family, and the moniker Papa which brought him great joy.
Bill was sadly predeceased by his sister, Marilynne J. Cunha.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Carole (Dolham) Miller; his children, Lisa J. Miller, Linda N. Miller, William C. “Billy” Miller, III, and Nicole E. Miller, all of Woburn; his sister, Carol A. Engstrom and her husband Eric of NH; and his grandchildren, Cameron, Aundraya, Ryan, and Mackenzie, as well as his loving nephews Wayne and Derek Cunha.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, March 12th at 8 p.m. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. prior to the Service. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 13th at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn at 9:30 a.m. Remembrances may be made in Bill’s memory to the Mackenzie Cassidy Fund, c/o Salem Five Bank, 443 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801.
To Carole, Linda, Lisa, Billy and Nicole.
My sincerest condolences on the loss of Bill. Unfortunately I only heard of his passing long after the sad day. 12 years ago, we became colleagues to Bill in PRI and neighbours to you guys for a year on Samoset Rd. I can say that that I remember that time with great happiness due to Bill and his family’s true hospitality.
May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I was saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. I was a childhood friend that knew him & his parents. Long moved away I’ve lost touch with most locals. My Mom & Dad still live within earshot of Bill’s parents old home.
It appeared that he lived a full, active life & will be missed by his family.
God’s speed Billy … RIP.

We were blessed to have reconnected with Bill after all these years. It was so much fun to watch the Red Sox and Patriots season with him. We will always think of Bill when we watch our teams! God had a plan and we thank Him for letting us get in on His activity. Our Heavenly Father will, indeed, watch over you all and will continue to bless you. Our thoughts and prayers go to you.
With much love,
