ALICIA J. TEBBETTS, of Woburn, died unexpectedly on September 24th at the age of 34. Alicia was a beautiful young woman; a devoted mother and beloved daughter and sister, whose sudden passing has broken the hearts of her family and friends.
Born on October 23, 1991, Alicia was the cherished daughter of Squeaky (Pappas) and David Tebbetts; the loving mother of Audrina, age 9, and Colton, age 8; and the beloved sister of David Tebbetts and his fiancée, Kelsey Thomas, of Groveland. She was the treasured granddaughter of Josie Pappas of Woburn. Alicia was also the loving niece of Joanne Pageot and her husband, Roger; Mary Rader and her late husband, Buck; Joey Pappas and his late wife, Marcia; the late James Pappas and his wife, Claire; the late George “Henry” Pappas; William Tebbetts and his wife, Christine; Ruthie Millette and her husband, George; and Robert Tebbetts and his wife, Charlene. She is also lovingly survived by many cousins and dear friends.
Alicia loved being a mother; Audrina and Colton were the center of her world. She was a dedicated single mother who worked hard for them and loved them fiercely. Nothing mattered more to her than being their mom.
She was also a devoted daughter to David and Squeaky. Watching them become grandparents to her children brought her so much joy, and she knew every day how lucky she was to have them as her parents. She would have gone to the ends of the earth for them.
Alicia shared a special bond with her brother, David. Growing up, they were inseparable. She loved nothing more than spending days and nights joking around with him and would always look to him for advice on anything and everything. They were the true definition of siblings by birth and best friends by choice.
Alicia had a personality that you remembered. She was the life of the party—always dancing, always joking (even at times when she probably shouldn’t have been), and always laughing. She made friends easily and had a stubborn streak that those closest to her knew well. She enjoyed summers spent on the beach in Wells, Maine, where she made many friends, and loved days spent relaxing by the pool in the backyard with the neighbors.
Alicia had an incredible love for animals—any and every kind. Over the years, she had many pets that she loved dearly, including their dog, Bella, and the family guinea pig, Muffin. She also loved spending time with Gary and Eleanor, her poodle niece and nephew. It seemed as though she had a special magic touch with every animal she came across.
Alicia worked in administration for Clearview Eye Associates and had previously worked as a hairdresser. She loved sitting at the reception desk at Clearview, where her infectious personality truly shone through. She always had a way of making the people around her feel welcome and cared for.
Her family will miss her laughter, her strong will, her sense of humor, and, most of all, the simple comfort of having her close. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by the many people whose lives she touched.
Calling hours will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday, October 6th, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Alicia, my beautiful friend. I will miss our late night talks, sending reels back and forth to each other to share a laugh, gossiping and catching up on drama. Your laugh was infectious, your sense of humor was like no other! I will miss you terribly my friend. You are gone far too soon. Please save me a seat in heaven – we will have a lot of catching up to do! May you rest in the sweetest most comforting peace, and may heaven feel like warm sunshine on your cheek. I love you, and I will miss you. Until we meet again💕
So so sad to hear of Alicia’s passing. My heartfelt sympathy to her loving family. With my deepest condolences.
I clearly remember when Alicia entered the Linscott School on her first day. She came through the front door excited, happy and eager to make new friends. She did just that as she was a child other students wanted to have as a friend. She would welcome any new student to her class. Alicia was a giving child and a friend to all she met. As I read through the tributes about her, it told me she continued to be that friend everyone wanted in their lifetime. She accomplished so much in her young life but the one thing I think we all should remember about Alicia was that she touched so many lives in that short time. Alicia will be missed by her children, parents, relatives, and friends. But how lucky we all were to have been touched by Alicia’s friendship over her short lifetime. Something we can remember and try to imitate to honor Alicia’s memory. My thoughts and prayers are with her parents and children at this very sad time in their lives. She will be with you forever in your
hearts.
We are so deeply sorry to hear of Alicia’s passing. Our hearts are broken for all of you as you navigate through this most challenging time. There aren’t any words to take this immense pain away. The joy Alicia shared was nothing less than infectious. It was impossible to not feel happy around her and I hope the memories you hold in your hearts will carry you through this next journey. Patrick and I both fondly remember Alicia through many years of laughter, starting in the rainbow room in pre-school to the walls of Woburn High. Sending endless love to all of you.
With deep sympathy from your cousin Michael nardelli

Seven years of working beside you at the hair salon brought so many laughs, inside jokes, and memories I’ll always treasure—from running around Las Vegas at 1 a.m. to getting snowed in at the salon and playing Monopoly. You taught me how to cut and highlight hair, and I wouldn’t have made it this far in my career without your expertise and guidance. I’m so grateful to have called you my friend. I’ll always miss you and think of you.
Love
Nicole from Hair Cuttery

Alicia, this wasn’t supposed to happen. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that you’re gone.
We weren’t actually family, but we grew up together and loved each other like we were. We called each other cousins because that’s what our bond felt like. You were someone who had been a part of my life for so long that you just felt like family.
That was the kind of relationship we had. We could go days, weeks, or even months without talking, and when we did talk again, we picked right back up where we left off like no time had passed at all. There was never any awkwardness and never any need to explain ourselves. We just knew our bond was still there.
I’ll always hold onto our memories. The sleepovers, the shopping trips, dancing, laughing until our stomachs hurt, the secrets, the crazy moments, and everything in between. We were ride or lies. If one of us lied, the other one was swearing to it. That was just us.
I keep thinking about all the things we were still supposed to do. More shopping trips. More dancing. More laughing. More random conversations. More memories. More times of disappearing for a little while and coming right back like nothing ever changed.
This wasn’t supposed to happen, Alicia. I wasn’t supposed to be writing this about someone I grew up with, someone who was such a big part of my life for so many years.
This one really hurts. I hope you knew how much I loved you and how much every memory with you meant to me. No matter how much time passed between conversations, that love never changed.
Until we meet again, ling ❤️ You’ll always be a part of me, and I’ll carry our memories with me forever.
Heartfelt condolences and prayers to Alicia’s family and friends. Former neighbor, Sue (Nathan’s Mom)

Alicia, I have no words that can describe our friendship. We had highs and lows but you were one of the closets people to me. We had so many memories that I will always cherish and think of fondly. You were so fun loving and funny. I miss days we would just casually meet up and just run errands and play with the kids. I miss our girls trips and spending the holidays with you and the family. I still can’t believe that you aren’t here right now. I had always thought that we would reconnect again and we’d pick up where we left on our adventures. I’m sorry that we won’t get that chance but I hope you are at peace, are happy and loved. I hope you know that I will try to share as many good and fun memories about to the kids as much as I can so they will never forget and they will know how much you loved them.
We will forever miss you Alicia #Maine #AugustSummers
