Mary was born and raised in Woburn, one of nine children, born to the late Christopher and Olga (Murphy) McGrath. Mary was a Woburn High School graduate.

Mary had a long career with Marshalls at their distribution center. A New England Patriots fan, Mary loved watching games and supporting her favorite team. She also enjoyed long walks and a hot cup of Dunkin’ coffee.
