Catherine J. (Williams) Wilcox passed away Friday, January 19th, 2024.  The beloved wife of the late Harold Wilcox, she was ninety-nine years of age.

Born in Malden, Catherine was one of two children born to the late John E. and Helen (McDonald) Williams.

A graduate of Wakefield High School in 1942, Catherine married her best friend Harold Wilcox, in 1946.  They moved to Woburn, where they made their home for over seventy years, and raised two children.

Family was Catherine’s life. Her love, dedication and support surrounded her husband, daughter and son. Summertime was always about fun!  Camping, climbing, swimming and hiking, throughout the mountains of New England, and each summer a new venue.

When the kids were older, every fall Catherine and Harold would travel for the month of September!  They had wonderful times and travelled over, in, about, and around all of the United States.

Catherine’s grandchildren added so much to her life.  Her devotion to them was very warm, loving  and oh so very special.  Their visit’s, birthday’s , holidays and family gatherings, were near and dear to all.

Catherine loved cooking and baking.  When friends, family, kids, grandchildren, along with even some great grandchildren would stop bye or gather at her home,   there would be special home cooked meal and plenty of the best desserts anywhere on this continent!

Family,  was what life was all about.  Catherine’s strength and love, has surrounded the Wilcox family for close to eighty years, and a lasting legacy, which covered very close to a century.
