DENISE M. COFFEY – of Malden, formerly of Woburn, died peacefully, November 8th with her family by her side at the age of fifty-six, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cherished daughter of Ruth M. (Wilson) and the late Paul Coffey, of Woburn. Dear sister of Michael Coffey, his wife Kathy Jones of Medford. Dear niece of Dorothy Woelfel, her husband Lloyd of Canada, Maryanne Miller, her husband Bob of Malden and the late Jane O’Hearn. Also survived by several loving cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Wednesday, November 15th from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Lynch- Cantillon Funeral Home 263 Main St., Woburn. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Denise’s memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284

DENISE M. COFFEY – of Malden, formerly of Woburn, died peacefully, November 8th with her family by her side at the age of fifty-six, after a courageous battle with cancer. 
 
Raised and educated in Woburn, Denise was the beloved daughter of Ruth M. (Wilson) and the late Paul Coffey, of Woburn. She was a graduate of Woburn High School, class of 1986. She then went on to study both Fashion Design and Para-Legal Law, earning two Associate degrees. 
 
For many years, Denise worked for several Law Firms as a Para Legal. She also worked in the hospitality industry for many years, most notably as a server and bartender at Legal Seafood at the Seaport in Boston. She loved her work and was highly regarded by staff and patrons.  She went on to become a certified Sommelier.
 
Denise will be remembered for her radiant smile, beautiful singing voice and her love for vintage fashion and design. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss, Denise was a beautiful person with an incredible voice. I always enjoyed hearing her sing at our elementary school events and loved seeing her at high school reunions. God bless all of her family

    I am deeply saddened to hear of Denise’s passing. I have nothing but the fondest memories of her and our childhood. We spent every day together as children, and I will forever treasure them. I only wish I got to see her to tell her. I am so sorry for your loss.
