DENNIS “BUCK” RADER – of Woburn, died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, November 3rd at the age of sixty-nine. Beloved husband of 44 years to Mary (Pappas) Rader. Devoted father of Christine Rader of Burlington, Dennis, Justin, and Jared Rader, all of Woburn. Cherished grandfather of Adrianna-Ley and Ryan. Dear brother of Michael Guivas, his wife Julie of KS and the late Robert “Bubba” Rader and Jimmy Rader, his late wife Paula. Loving son-in-law of Josephine Pappas of Woburn, and brother-in-law to Joanne Pageot, her husband Roger of Nashua, Janet “Squeakey” Tebbetts, her husband David of Woburn, Joey Pappas, his late wife Marcia, of Woburn and the late James Pappas, his wife Claire of Woburn and George “Henry” Pappas. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Tuesday, November 7th from 4 -7 p.m., in the Lynch- Cantillon Funeral Home 263 Main St., Woburn. A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8th in the Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors to follow in Woodbrook Cemetery.
DENNIS “BUCK” RADER – of Woburn, died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, November 3rd at the age of sixty-nine. He was the beloved husband of 44 years to Mary (Pappas) Rader.
Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Dennis was a son of the late Theodore and Angela (Rosa) Rader. He was raised in Akron Ohio. After high school, Dennis enlisted in the Us Army where he served his country proudly until being honorably discharged.
For many many years, Buck worked as a skilled sprinkler fitter. First for Artec Sprinkler Systems and more recently, Union Local 550, until his retirement.
Buck was a tattooed man who loved riding his Harley. Whether staying local and visiting Dunkin’ Donuts outside on his Harley sipping his coffee, or taking long rides, riding was his passion. Behind his hard exterior, was a sweet, loving and supportive husband, father and Papa.
The love he had given to his family is unmeasurable, and he will be deeply and sadly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Along with his wife Mary, he is survived and will be deeply missed by his children, Christine Rader of Burlington, Dennis, Justin, and Jared Rader, all of Woburn.
