Doris T. “Dolly” (O’Donnell) Gilbertson – of Plymouth formerly of Woburn, died peacefully, September 13th, at the age of ninety-five. Beloved wife of 48 years of the late Charles H. “Charlie” Gilbertson. Devoted mother of Charles H. Jr. of Woburn, John A. (deceased) and his wife Kathleen of Derry, NH, Beverly A. Griffiths and her husband David of Rochester, NH, Liane Mielke and her husband Scott of Plymouth. Loving grandmother of David T. Griffiths Jr. and Wife Dorothy of Tyngsboro, Elizabeth A. Griffiths (deceased) of Malden, Christine E. Gilbertson of Woburn, Daniel C. Gilbertson of Woburn, Caitlin M. Donahue of Medford, Sara M. Donahue of Swampscott and Kelli M. Donahue of Easton. Adored great grandchildren of Ashley M. Miller and husband Brian of Billings, MT, Amanda L. Ocasio and husband Michael of Manchester, CT, Kathryn E., Kyra R. and Kyle A. Griffiths of Tyngsboro, Jaida M. Randall of Swampscott, Atlas O. and Ares A. Donahue of Easton and great great grandchildren Connor J. and Ayden E. Miller of Billings, MT and Amara E. Doris T. “Dolly” (O’Donnell) Gilbertson – of Plymouth formerly of Woburn, died peacefully, September 13th, at the age of ninety-five. Beloved wife of 48 years of the late Charles H. “Charlie” Gilbertson.
Dolly was one of twelve children. She attended Woburn Public Schools and was a graduate of Woburn High School.
After high school Dolly worked for a local dentist and then for the Woburn Public School System in the cafeteria from which she retired. Dolly and Charlie were well known around Woburn and active in the Elks. They travelled in their motorhome around the country and spent many winters in Florida. She also did many cruises around the world. Dolly particularly enjoyed time spent at family functions and she was loved and will be missed by all.

Dear Dolly, I have loved you ever since the first time we met about 60 years ago. You have been an inspiration to me with your loving, caring, fun filled ways. I will always hold you in my heart and memories.
Dear family, I grieve with you over the loss of this beautiful woman. You are remembered in my thoughts and prayers, especially during the days ahead.
LIANNE AND FAMILY WE HAVE LOST ONE IN A MILLION, SHE WAS ALWAYS GREAT COMPANY AND ALWAYS SEEMED LIKE THE HAPPY CAMPER. WONT FORGET HER EVER.

Dolly (O’Donnell) Gilbertson was a beautiful and fun person . One time as she was headed to Florida in her camper,my sister Maryanne and I traveled with her as we were on our way to The Sullivans in Virginia(this was a good resting stop for Dolly).Well,each trucker could see the beautiful blonde behind the wheel and he would honk! Dolly would honk right back. She made our trip so entertaining. RIP Dolly Condolences to your entire family

So sorry to hear of Dolly’s passing. My sincerest sympathy to the family. May happy memories bring you comfort and peace.
We are Remembering Dolly when she came up to her daughter Bev and husband Dave’s camp in N.H. with great sadness. She was always wonderful fun with a big smile. We had many laughs and great conversation. She was an Amazing Woman.

Many memories of Aunt Dolly through the early years and what good times the families had together over the years. She will always be missed, and remembered by all.

Mrs. Gilbertson was the kindest, happiest, and mostly full of fun. I remember her smile and her kind words always. She will be sorely missed and my thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time. Liane, my friend, I’m here if you need anything so sorry for the loss of your Mom 🙏🏻❤️
Dolly (O’Donnell) Gilbertson and her husband, Charlie, are remembered by my wife and me as being always welcomed visitors in Holland, Virginia and South Carolina. My memories of Dolly go back to my childhood when we were just neighbors in Woburn. They were a most unforgetable couple. We will always be proud that Charlie and Dolly were our friends. God Bless
