Donald Francis Bradley Jr.  – of Weymouth, formerly of Woburn, died March 13th, 2023 at the age of seventy-two.
Born and raised in Woburn, Don was the only son and one of three children along with the late Linda Skrotsky and Karen Bradley Fiorentino of the late Donald F. Bradley and Rose (Marchese) Bradley. He attended Woburn Public Schools and then attended Ford Mechanical School in pursuit of his dream of becoming a mechanic specializing in diesel engines.

He became a very skilled, knowledgeable, and trusted diesel mechanic for Hemingway in Woburn where he worked for several years; later becoming the proud owner and operator of Don’s Auto and Truck in Wilmington and Summer Street Getty in Arlington, for many years.

Don had an obsession with cars and home improvement. You could always count on finding him tinkering on the latest project. Although he had many favorite cars over the years, his pride and joy were his 2016 Dodge Challenger and his 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air. He would always grin at the compliments his cars received.

Don had a passion for history, car shows, all things antique, jazz, U2, hockey and football. He served many years on the board of directors for Woburn youth hockey where he spent countless hours at the rink watching his children play hockey and coached his sons little league teams.

A North Shore transplant to the South Shore, there was no denying that his homemade sauce and meatballs were THE best. He was however, known for his random food cravings paired with a small hot coffee extra extra. Most importantly, don’t get him started about Lay’s potato chips and dip – an essential!
Don’s life was his family. His favorite times were spent sharing laughs and stories at BBQ’s and family parties. He cherished being surrounded by his 6 children as well as his 3 granddaughters who he affectionately referred to as “Papa’s Girls”. He cared deeply about animals but his dogs Rocky and Leo along with Duke, his cat, held a special place in his heart. Don made friends with everyone he met and would give the shirt off of his back for anyone.

He will be dearly missed but never forgotten by many and is survived by his children, Donald Francis Bradley III of Belmont, Robert William Bradley of Revere, Danielle Rose Bradley of Plymouth, Mackenzie Elizabeth Bradley of Weymouth, Jacob Michael Bradley of Weymouth, and Emma Lee Bradley of Weymouth. Adored Papa of Braelyn, Kylie and Brianna. And Uncle Don to his loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, March 21st from 10:30 – 12:30, with a prayer service to follow, at the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home 263 Main St. Woburn. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
