CAROL (BERNAZANI) BRUNO

Carol (Bernazani) Bruno – of Woburn, died peacefully, with her family by her side, March 12th at the age of eighty-three. Devoted wife of Anthony Bruno. Treasured mother of Carol Ann Bruno of Key Colony Beach, FL and Celeste Bruno, her husband Ferando Ordoñez Banegas of Woburn. Dear sister of Larry Bernazani, his wife Ann of Malden and the late Henry and Edward Bernazani, Joanne Rawnsley and Ann Fulchino. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and her beloved grand-dogs Adele, Lola and Vivica. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, March 16th from 11 – 12, with a prayer service to follow, at the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home 263 Main St. Woburn. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s memory to the MSPCA-Angell Attn: Donations – 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130

Carol (Bernazani) Bruno – a longtime resident of Woburn, died peacefully, with her family by her side, March 12th at the age of eighty-three. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Anthony Bruno.
 
Born and raised in Revere, Carol was a daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Marchi) Bernazani. She was a graduate of Revere High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Suffolk University, where she met Tony.
 
For many years Carol worked as a registered nurse for Massachusetts General Hospital before starting her own successful business.
 
Carol and Tony spent a long life together traveling and experiences new things. They especially enjoyed winters in the Florida Keys. One of her favorite places was Sombrero Beach with a circle of cherished family and friends.

Carol had many interests. In the late 1950’s she became one of the first certified female scuba divers in the United States. An avid runner, she joined her brother Henry and sister Joanne to run many races including the Seven Mile Bridge Run in the Florida Keys. She also enjoyed horseback riding, golf, swimming, and sailing.

  
In addition to her husband Anthony, Carol is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughters, Carol Ann Bruno of Key Colony Beach, Florida and Celeste Bruno, her husband Fernando Ordoñez Banegas of Woburn. Dear sister of Larry Bernazani, his wife Ann of Malden and the late Henry and Edward Bernazani, Joanne Rawnsley and Ann Fulchino.
