Rita (Corsetti) Connery – of Billerica, formerly of Woburn, died peacefully March 11th at the age of eighty-two, with her family by her side.

Rita was born in Medford, a daughter of the late Joseph and Janet (DelGaudio) Corsetti. She was a graduate of Woburn High School and attended Burdett Business School, with high honors, first in her class.

For many years, Rita worked for the Woburn School System as a lunch lady, where she made many lasting friendships and enjoyed chatting and laughing with all the students.  Rita also had a rewarding career at St. Jude Medical and Bard Corporation as a clean room specialist.  In addition, she spent many years as an employee of Market Basket where many regular customers lined up just to chat with her on a daily basis.

Rita was extremely proud of her Italian heritage and was an exceptional cook! She was known as the “Governor of Middlesex Crossing” as she knew and would speak to everybody! She was always on the go, meeting up with friends, or visiting casinos and trying her luck on the slot machines.  Rita was also know for her fabulous sense of humor, making everyone around her laugh and smile.

Rita had a deep faith and was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony Church. Her family will miss her smile, her drive, and the generous love she had for everyone she met. Her family was her world and she loved them more than anything.
