MARJORIE J. (GASS) ROSA – of Woburn, died peacefully, March 11th, at eighty-seven years of age. Devoted mother of Michael Rosa, his wife Carolyn, Michelle Rosa, Mark Rosa, and Peter Lund all of Woburn. Treasured grandmother of Jamie, Laura, Vanessa, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Taylor, and Mikey. Dear sister of Donald Gass, his late wife Marion, Paula Vincent, her husband Bobby, and the late Eileen Essensa, her late husband Kenneth, all of Canada. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, both in the United States and Canada. Her Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, March 17th at 10 a.m., in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn. Interment to follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to pay their respects from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, evening, March 16th in the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn. MARJORIE J. (GASS) ROSA – of Woburn, died peacefully, March 11th, at eighty-seven years of age surrounded by family.
Born in New Brunswick, Canada, Marjorie was a daughter of the late Ward and Alice (Davis) Gass. She was educated in Canada and a graduate of McAdam High School in New Brunswick. In 1958 Marjorie moved to the United States and made her home in Woburn where she has remained.
For many years, Marjorie worked in Banking, retiring from Bay Bank. She then later worked for the Showcase Cinemas and Macy’s.
Marjorie’s life was her family! She enjoyed many vacations to the Cape, California and Canada. She adored her 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Marjorie also had many friends who loved her ability to laugh even in the hardest of times. She had an adventurous side as well. She took a motorcycle trip across the country seeing many National Sites. America was a country she loved so much that she became an American Citizen at the age of 75. Known by many as just “Nana”. She was a resilient, hard-working women with an admirable work ethic, admired by many for her strength. She had an ability to create a fun atmosphere every where she went. Her favorite hobby was ball room dancing. It was often said she was a beautiful dancer. She took great pride in her many gardens and spent hours working on them in her retired years. She was a great friend, sister and aunt. Marjorie was the most amazing Mother and Grandmother and showed them a love without limits. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

Michelle and Family I am So Sorry for your loss of Marjorie, Mom , Nana. I always would Love seeing her especially when we would go to your house for parties and she would hang with us and tell her stories and listen to ours. I especially Loved seeing her and Vanessa and Nick’s wedding at your home she was beaming and looked so
