Robert J. Martin Jr. – of Woburn, died peacefully, March 10th at the age of seventy-one. Devoted father of Angela Faith Martin, Erica Celeste Anderson, her husband Jeff, and Robert Sewell Martin, his wife Kim all of Florida. Cherished son of Robert Sr. and Mary Lou Martin. Dear brother of Therese O’Neil, her husband David of Westwood and William J. Martin, his wife Lynda of Weymouth. Adored uncle of James and Michele O’Neil. Robert is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Arrangements are private and under the direction of the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, MA.

Robert S. (Bob) Martin was the loving son of Robert J Martin Sr. and Mary Louise (Whatley) Martin of Woburn, MA.

Bob is survived by three children, Angela F Martin  of Ft Myers, Fl.  Erica C Anderson and husband Jeff, of Largo, Fl and Robert F Martin & wife Kimberly of Palmetto, FL.

Bob is also survived by a sister Terri M O’Neil and Husband David, William J Martin and wife Lynda J and nephew James O’Neill and niece Michelle O’Neil.

Bob loved life, he liked to have fun.  He loved Fl and spent many years living in Florida, where he raised his three children.  Even though living mainly in Fl., he loved the Red Sox and Patriots.  He proudly served in the US Air Force and was stationed in Vietnam for one year.

Bob was exceptional in numbers and statistics.  He spent many years working in the restaurant industry and was the manager of a number of restaurants.  He will be missed by all.

  1. Mr.and Mrs. Martin, Billy, Therese and families; So very sorry to hear of Bob’ passing. I have many great memories of the Scott Street, Flagg Street area when visiting my grandparents. I made many life long friends because of my Dad’s friendship with Bob Sr. and everyone in the neighborhood. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, from my sister and myself.   4. one of my best friends and neighbor more likely we would be sliding down flaggs street in woburn we had a ball as they hated to plow that dead end we had the annual mud bowl at library park thanks for being a big part of a fun childhood
