Patrick M. Snell – A longtime resident of Woburn, died suddenly, January 16th at the age of forty-four. He was the beloved husband and best friend of 19 years to Christal M. (O’Neill) Snell.
Born in South Weymouth and raised and educated in Lexington, Pat was one of three children born to Edward A. and Robin G. (Adamian) Snell of Woburn. Growing up, Pat spent summers with his family and grandparents at lake Winnipesaukee and in Marshfield. He was a 1996 graduate of Minuteman Technical High School where he played hockey and football and studied carpentry. It was there where he found his life’s true calling.
For over a decade and a half, he owned and operated Snell Construction Corp., where he put his skill and impeccable craftmanship to work. He put his time, energy, and talent into making it the successful business it is today. He was grateful to all the loyal relationships that have been built over the years that have abled the business to carry out such a strong reputation.
Pat was a proud resident of Woburn and took pride in his community. He supported whenever asked, the little league, youth hockey, Woburn Elks, and The Woburn Lions Club. He was always an integral part of the yearly Halloween Parade and enjoyed seeing all the smiling faces along the route.
In 1990, Pat met the love of his life Christal O’Neill, and they married in 2004. They were best friends, business partners and each other’s everything. They enjoyed traveling together and being an “Island Boy” at heart, he especially loved visiting Florida and the Caribbean Islands. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golf, motorcycles, sitting on the beach to watch the ocean and was an avid Bruins fan. He was also an amazing cook and loved hosting family and friends for a homecooked feast.
Pat was generous, warm, funny, loving, and honest to the core. He was never afraid to tell you how he felt, and not shy with a punch or a hug! With Pat there was never a dull moment. He always had a good story to tell that would make you laugh, and rattled off a good joke, and movie quotes! Those who knew him knew him best, he always had your back and a man of his word! He was loved by family, friends, and acquaintances alike.
Although Pat’s life was short, he made every moment in it count! The song quote “Not here for a long time, here for a good time!” sums up his life well. He lived with no regrets, listened to his heart, was a loyal friend to many, and lived life to the fullest. His family and friends will carry on his legacy by living their lives to the fullest – and he would encourage you to do the same.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived and will be deeply missed by his siblings, Jarrod Snell, his wife Amanda of Woburn and Danyel DiCicco, her husband Frank of Sarasota, FL. Cherished uncle of Logan, Dante, Rocky, Hailey, and Taylor. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4 – 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 24th, in the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home 263 Main St. Woburn. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patrick’s memory to the Simkovich Concussion Institute, 52 Pine Creek Rd, Wexford, PA 15090.
