Andrew A. Leccese, 80, of Plantation, Florida, and formerly of Stoneham and Woburn, Massachusetts, died suddenly, January 2nd, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Woburn, Andy was a son of the late Josephine (Zagarella) and Gregory “George” Leccese. He graduated from Woburn High School with the class of 1960. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served overseas in the 3rd Armor division in Frieburg, Germany.
After serving our country honorably and proudly, Andy went to work for New England Tel./ Verizon for 31 years.
He served on the board of directors for the Woburn Senior Hockey League for many years and was an avid and proud Boston Bruins Fan. He relocated to Florida 20 years ago and kept in contact with many of his friends from Woburn, He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn (Pagliuca), son, Marc of Boston, daughter, Nicole of Plantation & son, Andrew of Sunrise. He is also survived by granddaughters, Melissa and Andreya.
A Visitation is scheduled on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime and Military Honor Service at 7:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera’s University Drive Chapel located at 1600 North University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida, 33024. Carol and family, I am so sorry for your loss! Andrew was a great man. May God bless you all.
Thank you to Lynch Cantillon Funeral Home and George Poole for remembering my dad. He will be missed immensely. It’s comforting to know how many lives he touched. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
