Theresa M. (Clancy) Walsh – of Woburn, died peacefully, December 27th at the age of eighty-nine. She was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late David F. Walsh.

Theresa was a lifelong Woburn resident, being raised in the Hammond Square area of Woburn. She was the daughter of the late Mary and John Clancy. Theresa attended St. Charles Gram- mar School and graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1951. She worked for many years for Travelers Insurance in Boston before leaving to raise her family.

Her parents both emigrated to Woburn from Ireland and Theresa was very proud of her second generation Irish heritage. Theresa loved to Irish step dance, often attending dances and lessons 2-3 nights a week. She also loved to walk Horn Pond (often at a pace in which nobody could keep up with her), gardening, and watching the Red Sox and Patriots. She was a member of the Woburn Catholic Women’s club and for many years would organize day trips throughout New England for them. Theresa volunteered for over 25 years for the St. Charles Altar Guild, a fancy term for the cleaning ladies. She especially loved spending time with her four grandchildren.

Theresa was a lifelong communicant of St. Charles Church and had a deep faith. Her memory will live on in the ones she loved the most.

Theresa is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Edward Walsh, his wife Mary of Billerica, Kathleen Latimer, her husband Hugh of Westford, and David Walsh, his wife Karina of Antrim, NH. Cherished grandmother of Ryan, Kateyln, Allison, and Madelaine. Dear sister to Mary McCafferty. In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her broth- ers Christopher, John, and William.
