JOHN W. “JACK” NOBLE III

John W. “Jack” Noble III- of Woburn, formerly of Winchester, passed peacefully, Friday, October 28th  after a short illness. Cherished son of Maureen (Joyce) of Woburn and the late John W. “Jack” Noble Jr.. Beloved father of John W. “Jay” Noble IV, his wife Lauren of Woburn, Jeffrey W. Noble of Wilmington, stepfather of James “Jay” Perry of Wilmington. Proud grandfather of John W. “JJ” Noble V. Loving companion of Laura McCarthy of Woburn. Dear brother of Stephen Noble his wife Mary Ellen of Easton, NH, Kathryn M. “Kathy” Noble of New London, NH, and Mary E. “Beth” Torrey, her husband Bruce of Winchester. Jack is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his former wife Laura Noble. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, Nov. 4th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours, Thursday, Nov. 3rd from 4-7 p.m. in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801.

Jack is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his former wife Laura Noble.

After apprenticing under Ed Fitzgerald in Winchester and attending Wentworth Institute of Technology, Jack founded J. W. Noble Construction Company where he was a successful residential builder of many houses and condominiums in Winchester, Woburn and the surrounding area. He was also responsible for many excavation projects in the area. Jack was an outdoorsman and enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, boating, waterskiing, horseback riding, motorcycling and attending NASCAR racing events. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains and lakes of New Hampshire and spent many good times at his vacation retreats in North Conway and Laconia, NH. Jack also like to travel to the sunny beaches and frequently vacationed in Florida, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Jack was a student of history and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the local area’s history with others.  He liked to tell a good story, which always included good humor.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Massachusetts Down syndrome Congress at mdsc.org.

  7. I’ve been blessed in life to have a few great mentors & Jack was one of them. He was always willing to share his knowledge and help out anytime. He was an amazing man and will be truly missed. Love ya Jack.
