Theresa H. (Pucko) Giardina  – a longtime resident of Woburn, died peacefully, September 22nd with her family by her side, at the age of eighty-four.
Born in Boston and raised in Chelsea, Theresa was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Bakinowski) Pucko. Theresa or Terri as her family and friends called her attended St. Stanislaus Parochial School in Chelsea, where she met many of her lifelong friends  and later graduated with the Class of 1955 from St. Rose High School in Chelsea.
Terri worked for a short time at a local trucking company in Chelsea in their office.  She later went on to work for the State House in Boston.   She was also a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church while living in Chelsea and she  sang in their choir up until she moved to North Woburn  in 1964.  Once in Woburn she dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family.  Her family was her greatest joy and she supported them in everything they did.
Once her children were older, Terri started working at a family owned business, Pasta Pot in North Woburn.  You could always find Terri behind the counter taking orders or making sandwiches.  She enjoyed working there and meeting new people.
Terri was a great sport and had a great sense of humor.  She was so easy to fool around with and she would go right along with whatever the joke was, even if the joke was on her.  She could often be found in her chair at home doing her Word Search puzzles.  She also enjoyed crocheting and made Christmas tree skirts and afghans for her children and grandchildren.
Terri enjoyed any opportunity to gather with family and friends for social events at her home.  She hosted many a holiday at her home where her famous meatballs were served and there are many fond summer memories of all the gatherings at the pool.  She especially  looked forward to summer, knowing that almost every weekend she would be enjoying the company of family and friends around the pool and on the patio.  Even if she was just a quiet observer the fact her family was around her was all that mattered.  That is what brought her joy.
Theresa was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and Babci.  She was enormously proud of all of them.  She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
Devoted mother of Stephen J. Giardina, his wife Robin, Gregory A. Giardina, his fiancé Lorrie, all of Woburn, Laurie A. Pesaturo of Wakefield and Michele M. Titcomb, her husband Doug of Woburn.  Dear sister of Christine A. Bellekevicz of Woburn.  Cherished “Nana” of Derek, his wife Alison, Dana, Colin, Sydney, Rylie, Zachary, Rachel, her fiancé Chris, Alexandra, her husband Michael, Sophia, Genna and Jared, and “Babci” of Julianna and Madelyn. Theresa is also survived by her former husband Anthony C. Giardina Jr. of Florida,  many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A Funeral will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, September 28th at 1 p.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Calling hours, Tuesday evening 4-7 p.m.  Remembrances may be made to honor Theresa, to the charity of your choice.
