Orlando W. “Bill” Barletta passed away at Winchester Hospital September 7th, 2022 after a brief illness.  The beloved husband of the late Mary (D’Onofrio) Barletta, Bill was ninety-three years of age.

Born in Boston, Bill ,as he was affectionately known throughout his life, was the son of the late Ferdinado and Rose (Addonizio) Barletta, who were  Italian immigrants , and living in East Boston and Roxbury.

Raised and educated in Boston, Bill was a graduate of East Boston High School along with the Class of 1947.  From the beginning of Bill’s entry into the working world Bill has always been totally invested and “in charge!”

He began by owning several gas stations, then he started up a concrete pump business, and was always involved in the commercial construction industry.

In 1950 he married his sweetheart, Mary whom he met when he was 16 and to whom he was devoted to for over 50 years of marriage.  They brought three children into the world, two daughters and a son, and they were his pride and joy, totally devoted to them and when their children came along he was the very “proud grandpa!”

When it came to technology he was a leader!  He started with a Palm Pilot then moving on with it all!  Phones, computers, always on the cutting edge of any and all.

Salt-water fishing, boating, golfing, are a few of his favorite things to do when not working, which honestly wasn’t too often!  Rather than scheduling tee times, Bill kept his clubs in the trunk and was always ready.  Visiting with his children and their families was always fun!  Whether it was lakeside in  Maine or poolside in Woburn,  never in either, but he always enjoyed!

Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Woburn/Stoneham Elks.

Loving father of Sharon A. McClory, her husband Donald of Littleton, William Barletta, his wife Diane of Groton, and Lynne M. Barletta of Woburn. Loving grandpa of Brian M. and Stephanie B. McClory, Michael Kozubal Jr., his wife Jennifer, Christine Ten Broeck, her husband Tyler, and Jessica LoDolce, her husband Adam. Dear brother of the late Carmen and Fred Barletta.
