Louise M. (Capaldo) Roscillo passed away at Winchester Hospital, September 6, 2022, at the age of 94.

Louise was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Roscillo. Devoted mother of Marianne P. Nurnberger and her husband Charles of Naples, Maine (formerly of Winchester), Deborah B. Philbrick and her husband Dennis and Joanne E. Clark and her late husband Charles, all of Woburn, Ann-Marie Baratta and her husband George of Bedford, and Anthony J. Roscillo and his wife Dorothy of Woburn. Loving “Nana” of Christine Nurnberger Campbell and her husband Robert, Ann-Marie Gautie and her husband Adam, Ashley Samperi and her husband Christopher, George (GJ) Baratta III and his wife Amy, Kristen Bertonazzi and her husband Nick, Elizabeth Gill and her husband Thomas (TJ), and Katherine Roscillo. Adored great-grandmother of Rose, Cassandra and Joshua.  Born in Woburn, she was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Louise (Altavesta) Capaldo and her siblings:  Virginia Kandris, Mary Kincade, and Joseph, Louis, Anthony and Eugene Capaldo.

Louise attended Woburn Public Schools and graduated in 1946.  In 1949 she married Joe Roscillo, her best friend and sweetheart.  They made their home in Woburn and were very active in the St. Joseph Church Community.  They journeyed over the next 59 years together, dedicated to their five children.  She loved music and delighted in Joe playing her favorite songs.

Over the years, Louise loved spending time in Florida in the winter and Maine during summer.   Her zest and spark for life was evident in who Louise was.  Her kind, gentle and sensitive ways were ever present; not only to her family, but to everyone she came in contact with.  She was easy to talk to, a great conversationalist, ever ready to listen, and never hesitated to provide helpful “suggestions” or “hints”!  A woman of great faith and beliefs, Louise shared her “power of prayer” with all.

Her children grew and time passed.  “Mom” became “Nana” then “Nana-Nana” and “Ma”.  From the grandchildren to the great-grandchildren, she adored and shared an encompassing love of them all.

A loving family, faith that was unshakeable, unconditional love for all surrounded Louise throughout her life.  Louise’s life was full, her accomplishments were many, and the unending love of family and friends were cherished up to the very end – a legacy which will be held close in our hearts forever.
