James P. “Jimbo” Morgan – of Woburn, died peacefully, August 1st with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was fifty-nine years of age.

Born and raised in Woburn, Jim was the seventh of 13 children of the late Janice E. (Coakley) Morgan and the late Robert J. Morgan, and his wife Mary, of Woburn. He was a graduate of the Northeast Regional Vocational High School in Wakefield.

After High School, he followed in his father’s footsteps and worked as an elevator constructor for over 25 years. He was a proud honorary retired member of IUEC Local 4. Jim’s most important job of all however, started when he became a father. Jaye was Jim’s pride and joy, and he was so proud of all her accomplishments. He cherished time spent with family more than anything.

Jim was a talented musician and natural performer. He had a passion for music and enjoyed singing and playing guitar with his bandmates, making many friends along the way.

Jim was a character and had a wonderful sense of humor! He loved making people smile, and always kept his family and friends laughing with his silly jokes and quick wit. He had an adventurous spirit and a laugh that lit up the room.

Jim had a great circle of friends and extended family, whom he loved dearly. He will missed by many but will live on in the memories of all who knew and loved him.
