William C. “Bill” Maguire

William C. “Bill” Maguire – of Woburn, died peacefully on June 17th at the age of 82 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 63 years to MaryAnne (Verrecchia) Maguire. Loving father of William Maguire, his wife Lisa of Burlington, Lorraine Lord, her husband Leonard of Epping, NH, Marie Hyland, her husband Terrence of Strafford, NH and Michael Maguire of Woburn. Cherished grandfather of Meghan and Michael Neal, Christopher and Timothy Maguire and Terrence Jr., Katherine, and Daniel Hyland. Much adored grandfather of Avery Maguire. Dear brother of Anne O’Connell and Mary Maguire and the late Leo and James Maguire. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Funeral Mass on THURSDAY, June 23rd at St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass from 8:30-9:45 a.m. in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn, MA.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Bill’s memory to the Glaucoma Research Foundation 251 Post Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94108 

William C. “Bill” Maguire – a longtime resident of Woburn, died peacefully on June 17th at the age of 82 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to MaryAnne (Verrecchia) Maguire. 

Born in Lowell, Bill was a son of the late William and Mary (Flaherty) Maguire. He was raised in Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School.

Prior to his retirement, Bill worked for over 30 years as a Production Clerk at General Electric.

Bill was a model railroad enthusiast and train collector. He enjoyed traveling and visited various destinations, his favorites being Hawaii and Ireland. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, riding his tractor and admiring nature.  

Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

In addition to his wife MaryAnne, Bill is survived and will be deeply missed by his children, William Maguire, his wife Lisa of Burlington, Lorraine Lord, her husband Leonard of Epping, NH, Marie Hyland, her husband Terrence of Strafford, NH and Michael Maguire of Woburn. Cherished grandfather of Meghan and Michael Neal, Christopher and Timothy Maguire and Terrence Jr., Katherine, and Daniel Hyland.
