Michael J. Canada – passed away unexpectedly at Lahey Hospital on June 16th, 2022.

The beloved son of Jessica Canada and Lenny Canada he was just thirty-four years of age.

He was born at Malden City Hospital on October 17th 1987. Growing up Michael was an outstanding football player playing many positions mostly running back. As well as a catcher for baseball.

After meeting Michael for the first time, you became his friend for life within five minutes. Michael attracted people naturally by his pleasant disposition and upbeat personality.

He was a skilled first-rate barber at Over-the-Top barber shop in Stoneham and his coworkers instantly became like family. Michael also volunteered his time cutting hair for the underprivileged kids who were unable to afford it. He got tremendous satisfaction seeing the biggest smiles on their faces when they saw the finished product.

Michael was a champion of the underdog, and he delivered many meals to the homeless in the Lowell and the Boston area. There was rarely a person Michael met who he didn’t help in some way.

Although Michael’s life was much too short, he impacted so many lives and left his bright light with everyone he met. He is survived by his children Michael Canada Jr. and his mother Katelynn Travers. His daughter Aaliyah Canada her mother Jaliesa Andrade and her sister Audriana Andrade. His brother Kiel Canada and wife Amanda Canada. His sister Brianna Canada. His grandparents Joan Bello Linda Walsh Edward Walsh and Cheryl Matthews. Also Richard, Xavier, Ariana, Ralek and Khalina Matthews as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and more friends than you can count. He is predeceased by his grandmother Wendy (Shamba) Canada-Dixon He will be missed by so many, but he will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, June 25th at Genesis 35 Olympia ave Woburn MA at 11 am. At the families request, the interment is PRIVATE. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 24th 4-8 in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn, MA.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Michael’s memory to the Pine Street Inn 444 Harrison Ave Boston MA 02118
