Philip C. Rudenick – of Woburn, died peacefully, June 5th at the age of fifty-four.

Born in Winchester, Philip was one of four sons born of the late William Rudenick and Carol M. (Greenan) Rudenick McEvoy, her late husband Wilfred W. McEvoy. He was raised and educated in Woburn, and a 1986 graduate of Woburn High School.

He worked for Moore & Parker’s, where he built many lasting friendships, Nationwide Furniture Warehouse, James Irrigation and Plumbing for several years, and since 2006 has been employed by Pro-Care Service Plumbing Division.

Phil was a longtime member of the Woburn Moose and enjoyed playing darts with his brothers. He was an integral member of the Moose, helping build the bar and fix any plumbing problem they may have had.

Phil was a great, friendly, fun loving and easy-going guy who never had a bad word to say about anyone. It was always “the world according to Phil” as he always had a theory about something. He will be deeply missed.

Loving brother of James Rudenick, his wife Tracy of N. Billerica, Richard Rudenick, and longtime companion Carol Stearns of Billerica, and Randal Rudenick, his wife Kerri of Billerica.  Dear nephew of Paul Greenan, his wife Carol of NH and the late William Greenan, his wife Sue of Tewksbury.  Cherished uncle of Chloe, Kylie, Lexie, Sean and his goddaughter, Kacie.

Phil touched so many people in his own special way. He knew when you needed to talk or just sit there without conversation but knowing he was there with an open ear if you needed one. He was a constant in our ever changing not always kind world. His laugh was contagious as was his smile. I’ll miss your quiet strength and your words of encouragement and wisdom beyond your age Phil. May you rest in the paradise you deserve. Always Paula Z. Xo

Words elude us, although you are probably using them on your next crossword.

  9. Rudy, Rich, Randy and families,

So sorry for you loss. Phil is going to leave such an empty space for so many of us. Phil was a great person, friend and “entertainer”. I could always count on Phil whether it was with a plumbing issue or just a lousy day. He could make the problems of my day pass like water under a bridge in just a few minutes. Phil was a man capable of solving the world’s greatest problems or provide advice to a politician on how to turn around public opinion of them. There was just that special something about Phil that everyone wanted to be around him. God Speed Phil. Your friend, Kenny

  10. My condolences to the Rudenick family! Phil will be greatly missed by all! He left a lasting impression on all he meet! RIP Phil
