Michael Linehan passed away at the Lahey Clinic, Saturday, April 16th after a brief illness.  The devoted husband of Ann Marie (Jenkins) Linehan, he was fifty-eight years of age.

Born in Woburn, he was the beloved son of Robert Linehan of Woburn and the late Carole (Gaffney) Linehan.  Mike was one of seven children growing up in the Rock Street section of the city. Mike attended Woburn Schools and was a graduate of Woburn High School along with the Class of 1981.

While in his sophomore year of High School, he met Ann Marie Jenkins in Math Class, and they were together for over forty-three years.  In 1983 they married and brought three children into the world to whom he was devoted.

From the time he was a child he developed a great love of music which stayed with him throughout his lifetime.  He had spent a great amount of time in a band, “Mudgut” where he was the singer.  Thoroughly enjoying the rapture of the music, Mike also played the harmonica, whether he was good at it or not.

Mike was actively involved in both the Moose Family Organization, having served as their Bartender for a good number of years and later with the Irish American Club, serving in the same capacity.

Throughout the years the Linehan family enjoyed many happy days at Winnisquam Lake in NH.  When not at Winnisquam, many happy hours were spent relaxing around the pool with his family and friends during the summer months.  Mike and Ann also loved spending time in Old Orchard Beach where they would vacation with their close friends.  Mike was a plant enthusiast often found weeding the driveway.

Golfing with his family was a time enjoyed by Mike.  His Dad, sons, and nephews always made for great golfing buddies.

Mike enjoyed good conversation and would often share some frivolous but informative tid-bits that would astound people, and certainly keep the conversation going! Mike always loved being with and around his family.

A very loveable, kind, and generous man, Mike loved his family, as a son, husband, father, and “Poppa”, he sadly left this world all too soon.
