Thomas A. Liberty – Of Woburn, formerly of Somerville, died unexpectedly, February 24th at the age of fifty-three. Devoted husband of Valerie A. (Maloof) Liberty. Beloved son of the late Robert and Isabelle (Gillis) Liberty. Loving brother of Scott W. Liberty, his wife Susan of Wilmington and Robin A. Liberty of Stoneham. Cherished uncle of Daniel Liberty, his wife Jenna and Derek Liberty, his wife Amanda as well as great-uncle of Summer, Christian and Hunter. Dear son-in-law of Roberta Maloof of Andover. Also survived by his beloved dog Jazzy and other loving extended family members and friends. A Funeral Service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Saturday, March 5th at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Thomas A. Liberty – Of Woburn, formerly of Somerville, died unexpectedly, February 24th at the age of fifty-three. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Valerie A. (Maloof) Liberty.
Raised and educated in Somerville, Tom was the beloved son of the late Robert and Isabelle (Gillis) Liberty. While in school, Tom excelled in hockey and football. After graduation from Somerville High School, Tom enlisted proudly in the USMC. He was a proud veteran and served his country with honor.
Tom worked as a taper in construction for many years with his brother. He was kind and empathetic, and could light up a room with his smile and laugh.
Tom was a lover of sports and enjoyed working out and being active. He had a deep faith and read his bible daily. He was a great cook and enjoyed trying new recipes on family an friends. Tom’s death leaves a gaping whole in his families hearts but he will never be forgotten.
Along with his wife Valerie, Tom is survived and will be deeply missed by his siblings, Scott W. Liberty, his wife Susan of Wilmington and Robin A. Liberty of Stoneham.
