Louise H. (Hopkinson) Millar

Louise H. Millar – of Lynnfield, died December 19th, peacefully at home around her family.

Born and raised in Wolfeboro, NH, and a graduate of Brewster Academy, Louise held a special place in her heart for Wolfeboro, always.

At Brewster Academy Louise met the love of her life, Arnold Millar and they married. They built their home in Arnold’s hometown of Lynnfield, MA where they spent the remainder of their lives.

Louise was the definition of kind and generous. She enjoyed spending time in the summers on Bakers Island, Camden, Maine and her beloved cottage in Alton Bay, New Hampshire.

An immaculate baker and lover of food, Louise loved spending time in her kitchen. Always a new dish on the stove or some fresh baked goods in the oven. She prided herself on her cooking and was known for her beef stew, breakfast muffins and apple pie.

A lover of the newspaper and Food Network, Louise spent many nights watching Diners, Drive ins and Dives, discussing current events with her grandson Steven and looking for a new dish to cook up in the kitchen. They watched every single episode!

Louise is survived by her daughters, Janet Lisacki of Lynnfield, Joanne Graves of Farmington, NH and her grandson, Steven Lisacki of Lynnfield, MA. Also leaving behind many loving and caring, nieces and nephews. Love was shared all around by many.

With respects to the family, services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brewster Academy in memory of Louise H. Millar – 80 Academy Dr., Wolfboro, NH 03894 or to Care Dimensions 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
