Born in Woburn to the late Robert and Ruth (Garvey) Carroll, she was raised in Winchester and graduated with the Winchester High School Class of 1960.  Affectionately known as “Lee” or “Bobby Lee,” she was a lifelong resident of Winchester and raised three children in the town before moving to Walpole in 2017 to be closer to her loving daughter and three of her seven grandchildren.

Following high school and classes at Regis College, in addition to raising three children, Lee enjoyed a 30-year career in the Massachusetts State House, as the Legislative Assistant to Representative Sherman W. (“Whip”) Saltmarsh of Winchester.

A dedicated mother and grandmother, Lee loved the beach and was a passionate sports fan who never missed any of her children’s high school or college games.  Later in life, Lee enjoyed traveling to visit her grown children, siblings, nieces and nephews in other states and countries, and most of all spending time with her seven precious grandchildren. “Nanny” never missed a game to cheer on her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Bob and Ruth Carroll, Lee was predeceased by her brother Robert Emmett Carroll.  She is lovingly survived by her children, William Rogers and his wife Debbie of McLean, VA, Christopher Rogers and his wife Amy of Dana Point, CA, and Robyn (Rogers) MacNeil and her husband Doug of Walpole, MA; her grandchildren, Billy, Carly, Liam, Miley, Luke, Quinn, and Tyler; as well as her sister Stephanie Carroll of New York City and her brother Robert Carroll, Jr. and his wife Eileen, of San Jose, CA and their children Bobby, Michael and Ashley.

I offer you my prayerful condolences to you and all members of your family on the loss of your der mother. My memories of meeting her on several occasions are of a gracious and warm person with a great joie de vivre. I am sure you have many fond memories from your “growing up” years along with the memories she shared with you, Doug, Luke, Quinn and Tyler. As long as you keep the memories alive, you will continue to feel her presence. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless!
