Bernard B. Helmar Sr.

Bernard B. Helmar – of North Billerica, passed away after a long illness, September 24th at the age of 73. Beloved husband of 49 years to Catherine M. (Reynolds) Helmar. Devoted father of Brian E. Helmar and his wife Jennifer of Wilmington and Bernard B. Helmar Jr. Dear brother of Donna Whynot and Lynda Pisoni. Cherished grandfather of Nathan, Sarah, Benjamin, and Kellan. Also survived by extended family, Tamara, and Georgia, as well as several loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 11-12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6th with a celebration of life service to follow at 12 noon in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home 263 Min St., Woburn. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernard’s memory to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
