Ann (Shea) Farrell – of Woburn, peacefully, July 21st at the age of seventy – eight. Mother of Russell Farrell of Woburn. Cherished sister of John Shea Jr., his partner Patricia Kane of Woburn. Beloved aunt of Lisa Barnes, her husband Paul of Wareham, John Shea III, his wife Laura of Wilbraham and the late Peter Shea, his wife Donna Shea Johnson, her husband Kurt of Milford. Adored great-aunt of David Garreffa, John and Brian Shea and Jenna Rawlings. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 30th at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Calling hours on Thursday, July 29th from 4-6 p.m. in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s memory to the American Diabetes Association 10 Speen St, 2nd floor, Framingham, MA 01701.

Ann (Shea) Farrell –a lifelong resident of Woburn, died peacefully, July 21st at the age of seventy – eight.

Born and raised in Woburn, Ann was the loving daughter of the late John and Jeanette (Blanchard) Shea. She was educated in Woburn and a graduate of Woburn High School. After High School Ann attended and graduated from the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene and worked for several years as a dental hygienist.

For over 20 years, Ann worked in administration for Lahey Clinic Hospital and Lahey Healthcare.

Ann was a voracious reader and loved relaxing with a good book. She also enjoyed vacationing in Maine and solving cross word puzzles. Her greatest joy in life, however, was her family. They meant the world to her and she would do anything for them.

Ann is survived and will be deeply missed by her son Russell Farrell of Woburn. Cherished sister of John Shea Jr., his partner Patricia Kane of Woburn.     Ann was a wonderful, generous and kind person. I’d known her for twenty years and worked with her at Lahey. My daughter and another close friend would go out with Ann a few evenings a year for “Girl’s Night Out”. The next -will be in her honor and she will be missed greatly. Rest well, Annie and know that you are forever loved!
