Victor F. Mondello – of Andover, formerly of Woburn, peacefully, April 29th at the age of ninety. Cherished husband of 45 years to Anne “Nancy” (O’Connor) Mondello. Devoted father of Denise Doucette, her husband David of Stoneham, Wendy Mondello of Haverhill, Anthony Mondello, his wife Debra of Methuen and David Mondello of CT. Adored grandfather of Benjamin, Amanda, William, Anthony, Andrew, Adam, Jack, David “DJ”, Darrell and the late Stephen Doucette, and great-grandchildren, Mya, Emmalee, William, Mason, Jamie and Stephen. Loving brother of Joann Taris, her husband James of Wakefield and the late Edward Mondello. Dear brother-in-law of Rosemarie “Tootsie” O’Connor, Charles L. O’Connor, his wife Mary, both of Woburn, Ronald Stander of Woburn and the late John E. “Oakie” O’Connor, Catherine M. Reddy and Helen Stander. Also survived by many loving nieces,  nephews, friends and his dear neighbors of A3. Relatives and friends are invited to Victor’s Funeral Mass, Tuesday, May 11th at 11:30 a.m., in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Relatives and friends are invited to briefly pay their respects prior to the Mass from  9:30 -11:15, in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn. All attending are asked to enter through the front door of the Funeral Home and exit through the back door. Masks MUST be worn at all times, along with strict adherence to social distancing.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Victor’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Victor F. Mondello – a resident of Andover, formerly of Woburn, died peacefully, April 29th, at his home, at the age of ninety. He was the cherished husband of Anne “Nancy” (O’Connor) Mondello, with whom he would have celebrated 45 years of marriage on June 13th.

Born in Winthrop and raised in Boston, Victor was the beloved son of the late Victor N. and Victoria (Mignotte) Mondello. He was educated in Boston and a graduate of Boston Trade School. Following high school, Victor enlisted in the US Air Force where he proudly served at the Stratigic Air Command until being honorably discharged.

For many years, Victor worked for a design firm and then for Norfolk Electric where he remained for 40 years until his retirement.
Victor was a proud member of the Andover Sportsman Club. He enjoyed boating fishing snowmobiling and woodworking. He enjoyed playing music and jamming at gatherings with family and friends, especially his grandson! In his later years he loved going to Aruba with Nancy to escape the winter. He also enjoyed trips to Hampton Beach and Maine.

Along with his wife Nancy, Victor is survived and will be deeply missed by his children, Denise Doucette, her husband David of Stoneham, Wendy Mondello of Haverhill, Anthony Mondello, his wife Debra of Methuen and David Mondello of CT. Adored grandfather of Benjamin, Amanda, William, Anthony, Andrew, Adam, Jack, David “DJ”, Darrell and the late Stephen Doucette, and great-grandchildren, Mya, Emmalee, William, Mason, Jamie and Stephen.     Nancy, Ray and I were sorry to hear about Victor’s passing. Ray is upset that he can’t attend the funeral but he can no longer drive long distances and I am at work on Tuesday. He asked me to let you know he is thinking about you.
