Joanne M. (Magee) Galante a longtime resident of Winchester passed away at the Winchester Hospital Sunday morning, April 25th, 2021.  The beloved wife of Dennis J. Galante, Joanne was sixty-eight years of age.

Born in Woburn, Joanne was the oldest of six children born to the late Harold “Bud” Magee and his wife Eloise (Shea) Magee.

Raised and educated in Woburn, graduating from high school in 1970, Joanne continued her education at Mt. Auburn School of Nursing, where she graduated from, achieving Registered Nurse status.  It was here at Mt. Auburn where Joanne began her career, which spanned over an exceptional forty-three years.

Joanne’s compassionate, caring, sensitive and loving manner, made her not just an exceptional person, but a phenomenal Nurse.  Her dedication, knowledge and intuitiveness throughout life was always of great value, personally and professionally.

In 1974, Joanne and Dennis continued their journey together, and travelled what would have been forty-seven years as husband and wife, in May.  Together they raised their four children, totally invested in all that they did, socially, academically, personally and as a family.

Then Joanne and Dennis’ began their own family,  having the greatest gifts of all, their own children.  They worked as a team, giving all their love, guidance and direction to each.  Joanne watched out for all; her faith, love and devotion to all , was strong, never waivered and was always present each and every day, and will continue.
