April J. Neergaard passed away, Saturday April 10th after a brief illness.  The beloved daughter of Kenneth H. and Carol L. (Heiser) Neergaard and the lovingly devoted mother of Ashley and R. and Nicholas R. Baglieri, she was forty four years of age.

Born in Winchester, April was raised and educated in the East Woburn section of the city.  Since she was a child April enjoyed singing!  Whether alone at home, tending to her outside activities, playing with her pets, or attending church she truly enjoyed carrying a tune.  The Neergaard family had always spent time at Cape Cod each summer, and spent some very memorable times at Disney World.

April’s love of animals began as a child and all throughout her lifetime, she never met an animal she didn’t like!

When she went on to high school she was actively involved in the Glee Club and the choir, enjoying every minute.  Graduating with the Class of 1994 from Woburn High School, April continued her studies at Middlesex Community College, receiving her Associates Degree in Business and also receiving her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant; having worked at Bedford Labs, Biogen and Genzyme throughout her professional carrier.

April was blessed to have brought two wonderful children, a daughter and son into the world, to whom she was  forever devoted.  Life was full and activities were many, for both her children.  She was invested in all their activities.  From coaching softball teams, to being an active participant on the side or base lines and bleachers; to teaching CCD at St. Mary’s Church in Winchester.  Quiet days in the back yard, walks on the beach or practicing for whatever the next event was to be, April was present to it all.

Over the last several months in spite of some health issues, April, was  there to help out whomever, doing whatever, whenever possible.  An exceptionally kind, generous and faith filled woman, she gave all there was to give right up to the very end.

April is lovingly survived by her dearest children, Ashley R. and Nicholas R. Bagliere,  her devoted parents Kenny and Carol, dear brother, Kenneth, along with her cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to  attend her Funeral Mass,  in St. Charles Church,  280 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, April 21st at 10 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.  Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 20th, 3-6 p.m. in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, MA.
