Edward W. Banks – of Wakefield, April 8, 2021, at seventy-three years of age. Beloved son of the late Charles E. and Ada (Morom) Banks.  Cherished brother of the late Jeanne Pochily and Judith Travers. Uncle of the Kimberly Zecher and Karen Lohrman. Arrangements are private and under the direction of the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801.  

Edward W. Banks of Wakefield, died peacefully at his home on April 8, 2021 at 73 years of age. 

Born in Boston, Ed was the beloved son of the late Charles E. and Ada (Morom) Banks.  Cherished brother of the late Judith Travers and Jeanne Pochily.  Survived by his nieces Kimberly Zecher of North Reading and Karen Lohrman of Wilmington.  
He lived in Medford in his younger years, then was raised and educated in Woburn, graduating from Woburn High School in 1965.  Ed served in the Navy from 1970 to 1974, then earned his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley College. 
Ed was a devoted employee, working as a CPA, for the same company from 1979 until retiring in 2015.  He will be missed by his dear friends from work, Jerry Wright, Joe White and the late Donna Patey.
Ed was an avid Nascar enthusiast and fan. He enjoyed going to Loudon NH race track every year to watch the races. He was also a lover of hockey, his favorite team being the Boston Bruins.
Arrangements are private and under the direction of the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801.

    To the Banks Family,

    I, along with the WHS Class of ‘65, extend my sincere sympathy to Edward’s family and friends on his passing. I remember him as a quiet, unassuming, nice guy and I am sure he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
