Lillian L. Capozzola – of Woburn, March 9th at the age of ninety-three. Beloved daughter of the late John and Sofia (Scodalupa) Capozzola. Dear sister of the late Virginia Brusseau-Gorrasi, Anna and husband Edward Costello, Frances and husband Kenneth Chaison Sr., Nellie and husband Earl Bane, and Julia and husband Lawrence Wuethrich.  Cherished aunt of Dorothy Trites of Peabody, Janice Mullen of Dedham, Susanne Bourque of Tyngsboro, Jane Galante of Woburn, Julie and husband Thomas of Revere and Lisa and husband David Hunihan of Cheshire Ct., Barry and his wife Carlene Bane of Woburn, Philip Bane of NH and Christopher Bane and his wife Carol of New Mexico. and the late Kenneth W. Chaison Jr. and wife Mary, Robert and Pamela Bane, as well as John, William, and Richard Brusseau.  Also survived by many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, May 14th at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn.  Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. Masks MUST be worn at all times, along with strict adherence to social distancing.  Remembrances may be made in honor of Lillian, to the charity of ones choice.

Lillian L. Capozzola – a life longtime resident of Woburn, passed away peacefully, March 9th at the age of ninety-three.

Born in Woburn, Lillian was the beloved daughter of the late John and Sofia (Scodalupa) Capozzola.

Lillian was educated in the Woburn Public Schools. After graduation, she was employed for many years by Sylvania General Telephone & Electronics and retired from Philips ECG as an Administrative Assistant.

Lillian volunteered for the Red Cross Blood Bank frequently through out the years and had served many years with the Woburn VNA Hospice Board.  also serving as the secretary for the Woburn High School Scholarship Fund. Lillian enjoyed a good round of golf over the years with sisters, nieces, nephews and friends;  actually she was a long time member of the Woburn Women’s Golf at the Woburn Country Club every Tuesday. She was also active with the Woburn VNA Hospice Board and a member of the Woburn Women’s Golf Association for many years.  Lillian was also a staunch supporter of education having served on the Woburn High School Scholarship Fund as secretary, again for a good number of years.

She traveled extensively throughout Europe and to her favorite islands. Her greatest pleasure however was spending time with her family and friends. Lillian was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt and will be greatly missed.

Lillian is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dorothy Trites of Peabody, Janice Mullen of Dedham, Susanne Bourque of Tyngsboro, Jane Galante of Woburn, Julie and husband Thomas of Revere and Lisa and husband David Hunihan of Cheshire Ct., Barry and his wife Carlene Bane of Woburn, Philip Bane of NH and Christopher Bane and his wife Carol of New Mexico. and the late Kenneth W.   1. My sisters and aunts were part of Lillian’s Woburn Golf League and we have many very happy memories spent with Lillian. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed.
