Joseph A. DeNapoli – of Rockport, MA, peacefully passed away on January 29,2021 at the age of 75.

Devoted Son of the late Joseph & Mary (Heenan) DeNapoli. Loving brother of Janet Rayner of Medford, Maryellen Cassidy, Paula Casoni, both of Burlington and Robert DeNapoli, his wife Carole of Woburn. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Joseph was raised in West Medford and graduated from North Cambridge Catholic High School before moving to Rockport. He loved living in Rockport, near the ocean where he found peace and calm, his home on the lane was his sanctuary.

Before retirement Joe worked for the B & M Railroad and Hospice.

Joe was self reliant, hard working, practical, optimistic and unafraid to speak his mind. He had a great sense of humor and good insight into life in general. In times of trouble he knew how to make the best of things. Always placing family first, he thoroughly enjoyed his Wednesday lunches with his sisters and brother. He had an amazing work ethic and loyalty and honesty were among his greatest gifts. A wonderful cook, avid reader and traveler, his warm heart and generosity will always be remembered.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. ~ John 14:27-29
