Dear Doyle Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom, she was a wonderful woman with a wonderful laugh!! She was one of my Mom’s best girl hood friends: Jean Ann Melanson-Shea/Briasco. They grew up together in Lynn and stayed near and dear to each other all through the years. Even as they grew older they still seem to have some wonderful adventures together and make a little mischief. I hope they are sitting together now and rehashing and laughing about old times. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  7. To Brian, Cindy, Kenny, Alice, Joe, Jay, Dana, Chuckie, Tubba and the extended Doyle clan ~
I will always remember our visits to the Doyle home, playing in the yard and trees as kids, the big family table celebrating Nana’s b-day, the crazy parties with beer and penguins! and actually anywhere the clan landed, they brought the party.
Auntie Claire was the matriarch of that very large and fun “clan” and you all speak for her love, values, faith and dedication to family. That’s why there’s an extended family – Auntie Claire made everyone feel welcome, like they were one of the family.
We laughed sooo much and I am so thankful I too spoke with Claire in her last months. She had real grace in life and in leaving. When you see that star in the sky, it’s Claire shining down on us all.
Auntie Bev asked that I remember her to you all and that she sends her love. Although Claire and Bev may have had a fight or two in childhood, they were the best of friends through life with Bev noting that Claire was a great sister and did a wonderful job raising her beautiful family.

  8. To our cousins and families, deepest sympathy on the passing of your Mom. It doesn’t seem possible. Aunty Claire is present in our earliest memories as a smiling, caring, loving and pleasant person who made each of us feel special. Always full of information and stories about family and ancestors, she made many happy memories for us all. Dana, Judy, Jan and Pat.

  14. Claire always had a smile and was a bright light to all who knew her at North Shore Music Theatre. She is already greatly missed. Deepest condolences to her family.

  15. I was saddened, but not surprised to hear of Claire’s death late last week. When I last spoke with her, late September I think, she sounded very weary and tired, yet upbeat. I think that last word describes her approach to life with all its challenges and joys. And as we spoke that few weeks ago, she talked of all that her children were doing to be of support to her for which she had great appreciation. My first memory of Claire was a beautiful lady sitting next to her groom, Jim, at a very long head table, and near Uncle Bobo and Aunt Dot, at her wedding reception. (I was about 10.) Over the years I was warmly welcomed for great visits at her home in Woburn and later Ipswich. – Always a wonderful person whom we all will miss! Cousin John
