Frederick Carr Sr. – Of Woburn, October 27th, at the age of eighty-four. Beloved husband of 62 years to Janice (Paolucci) Carr. Devoted father Janet Sutton, her husband Thomas, Susan Sutton, her husband William, Charles Carr, his wife Patricia, all of Woburn, Frederick Carr Jr., his wife Mary of Chelmsford, Catherine Carr of Woburn, Patrick Carr of Quincy and the late Kathryn and James Carr. Dear brother of Butchie Carr, Louise Burgeron and the late Edith Busuito. Also survived by 15 loving grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his grandson Matthew Carr.   Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Fred’s Funeral Mass, Saturday, October 31st at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn.  Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.  Those who feel comfortable are invited to briefly pay their respects on Friday, October 30th at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn. Those who are 65 and older or experiencing any health problems are invited to come between 3-4 p.m., with the general public invited between 4-6 p.m. All attending are asked to enter through the front door of the funeral home and exit through the back door. Masks MUST be worn at all times, along with strict adherence to social distancing. Remembrances may be made in Fred’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105

Frederick Carr Sr. – a longtime resident of Woburn, died peacefully, October 27th, at his home, at the age of eighty-four. He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Janice (Paolucci) Carr.

Born in Somerville, Fred was a son of the late Robert and Anna (Smith) Carr. In the early 50’s, Fred met his future wife Janice, while working at Bickfords. 

For over 20 years, Fred worked for the City of Woburn, as a machinist until retiring in 1999. 

Fred was a quiet, unassuming man who genuinely loved spending time at home with his family. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He was the family’s own Mr. Fixit, and if anyone ever had something in need of repair, Fred would always say “bring it over, I’ll take a look at it”. He also loved listening to records and watching movies. 

Along with his wife Janice, Fred is survived and will be deeply missed by his children Janet Sutton, her husband Thomas, Susan Sutton, her husband William, Charles Carr, his wife Patricia, all of Woburn, Frederick Carr Jr., his wife Mary of Chelmsford, Catherine Carr of Woburn, Patrick Carr of Quincy and the late Kathryn and James Carr.
