Marsha J. (Chamberlain) Kelley passed away at her home amongst her beloved family on Friday, October 16th.  The loving wife of John F. Kelley, she was seventy-two years of age.

A life-long resident of Woburn, Marsha was one of four children of the late Frank and Eleanor (Sherman) Chamberlain.  Marsha was a graduate of Woburn High School along with the Class of 1966.  While growing up Marsha was an active participant at the Baptist Church where she attended church with her family and had been a member of the Rainbow Club throughout the years.

Following high school Marsha went on to Tufts School of Dental Hygiene, receiving her credentials to perform as a Dental Hygienist.  She worked in this profession for fifty-one years, having just retired this year.  She was a hard worker who never called out sick and was respected and adored by her colleagues and patients because of her professionalism and friendly demeanor.

During a 4th of July carnival over fifty-one years ago John Kelley asked if she would like to take a ride on the Ferris Wheel and at that moment their life-long bond was formed.  John and Marsha’s journey involved having four children and nine grandchildren.  Summers at Hampton were magical times, family and friends gathered over the years for boating, swimming, beach-going, and lots of mischief, sarcasm, and laughter!

Marsha was very creative and had quite the artistic flare.  Sewing, crocheting, knitting, basket-weaving, doll making, and other endeavors were accomplished with great attention to detail and colors.  Often times she would create a charming piece and give it to a family member or friend for special occasions.

Marsha and John had enjoyed some wonderful trips over the years including cruises in Alaska and in the Caribbean. Many strong and lasting friendships were cherished including especially with the Coffil, Doherty, and Kenny families, whom all shared in a life-long journey together.

Sadly Marsha was predeceased by her parents, sisters Janice Carbone and Diane Price, and also her beloved son Daniel.

Marsha is lovingly survived by her husband John F. Kelley, her children Melissa J. Kisiel, of Moorseville, NC, Alan E. Kelley, his wife Heather of Foxboro, Mary E. Paulk, her husband Jeff of Moorseville, NC and former son in law Matthew Kisiel of NC.  She was the adored grandmother of Joshua, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Shelby, Shaelyn, Braeden, Ryan, Jonathan and Samantha. Dear sister of Donald Chamberlain, his wife Pauline of Woburn.  Also survived by many other loving family and friends.

  2. Marsha and I have been friends for over 65 years in both sunshine and shade. She was a truly good friend who will be impossible to forget. May your cherished memories of the life you shared with her bring you comfort and joy. For as long as you live, she too will live, for she is a part of you. Reach out to family and friends to bring you comfort and the strength to find peace. I pray she is finally at peace now after her long struggle. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My deepest sympathy, Love, Betty
