Leona M. “Lee” (Mondon) Fields – of Woburn, peacefully, September 10th, 2020. Beloved wife of the late John W.R. Fields, Sr., Late Patrolman, Woburn Police Dept. Devoted mother of Patrolman Steven S. Fields, Winchester P.D., his wife Kelly of Woburn and the late John W.R. Fields, Jr. of FL. Grandmother of Gianna Fields, John W.R. Fields III and the late Brooke Fields, and great-grandmother of Marcus Fields. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Leona’s Funeral Mass, Wednesday, September 16th at 10 a.m., in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn. Interment to follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Relatives and friends are invited to briefly pay their respects on Tuesday, September 15th from 4-7 p.m. at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn.

Leona M. “Lee” (Mondon) Fields – of Woburn, died peacefully, September 10th, 2020. She was the beloved wife of over forty-six years to the late John W.R. Fields, Sr., Late Patrolman, Woburn Police Dept., until his passing in 2001. 

Born and raised in Lynn, Leona was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel (Bowser) Mondon. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School.

For many years, Lee worked for the Choate Hospital. She later worked for Aberjona Nursing home in the pay roll office, until her retirement. 

Lee enjoyed spending time with her family, and in younger years, going camping and enjoying the outdoors together. She was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan and enjoyed finishing 1000-piece puzzles. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. 

Devoted mother of Patrolman Steven S. Fields, Winchester P.D., his wife Kelly of Woburn and the late John W.R. Fields, Jr. of FL. Grandmother of Gianna Fields, John W.R. Fields III and the late Brooke Fields, and great-grandmother of Marcus Fields.

    I am so saddened to hear the news of the passing of your mother; she was a nice neighbor and friend of mine. I will miss her dearly, she was very nice to me all my life. Stevie you and your family are in my prayers during this very difficult time.
