  1. In Memory of My Aunt Maria.
Last Wednesday, September 2, 2020, a very special light went out in our family. My Aunt Maria, after years of suffering in horrible pain surrendered her spirit and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
What I have discovered over the last few days of reminiscing over our loss is this: When you are a true child of the King, your light can never truly go out and my Aunt was a true princess in the Kingdom. You see, my brothers and I were not born into the Mueller/Elicker family. We received something far greater than that. We were all accepted and adopted by the whole family and given more love than anyone deserves. Our Aunt Maria took us in and opened her home and heart to us and loved us as no other Aunt could. It was her example of love that made it so easy for me to love my daughter Lindsey and granddaughter Samantha with such ease. You see, loves light can never truly be extinguished, through my Aunt Maria’s love, light continues to shine on.
Though the miles are far and time seems to slip away, I can still see her smiling face and hear her voice (in her German accent) telling me, “Billy I love you” (still called me Billy after all these years). To my cousins George, Monica, Suzie and Linda please know that you all are in my prayers as together we grieve and mourn the loss of your wonderful mother and for my Dad, Walter Mueller, who lost his sister whom I know how much he loved and was loved, tomorrow is a new day as we rejoice and celebrate the life of our Aunt Maria as she enters the Church Triumphant to be with our Lord, our Savior, our King Jesus.
Today is not goodbye, but see you in just a little while. I look forward to the day we will see each other again and you greet me with that beaming smile and you can teach me how to do the Polka (just another fond memory).
From the Book of Revelation 21:4-5: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” . . . And Jesus sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” Amen and Amen.

  2. Monica, George, Susan, and Linda,

I just want you all to know how special your Mother, my Aunt Marie was to me. Growing up she always made me and my brothers feel Like family and welcome every time we visited. Every birthday I could count on a call from her, it’s definitely something I’ll miss. She was and will always be remoeres and loved. Sincerely Scott H

  3. My Deepest Sympathy for your loss of your Mother Maria Elicker.
She was a long time friend and George, Monica, Susan and Linda I have always considered you as my adopted children, as growing up we have so many wonderful memories to share and spending time with each other. May your loss be lightened knowing that Mom is in a better place and free from pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you. All my love and lots of hugs Tante Inge.

  4. Sue, It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you. You were always a good friend of Beth’s and I want to express my condolences from all of our family on the loss of your mom. It’s hard losing a parent but during the COVID shutdown it only makes it worse. I hope you and your family are well living in one of our favorite places, Lancaster, NH.

  5. Dear Elicker Family, for all the Physical pain she suffered throughout the years, may Maria now Rest In Peace. I was Maria’s letter carrier for many years. I miss her Humor.

  6. Susan, we are very sorry for your loss. May your mom be at peace. Love, Patti and Freeman Woodson
