Warren C. Giacchetto –  of Woburn, July 12th at ninety four years of age.  Beloved husband of Ruth M. (Hassett) Giacchetto.  Devoted father of Mark Giacchetto of CA, Carla Ringdahl of Wakefield and Lisa Burke of Winchester.  Dear brother of  Clara Peterosini of Cambridge and the late, Salvatore, Lena, Rose, Caroline and Cosmo.  Cherished grandfather of Keara Ringdahl of CT, Jordan Ringdahl of NY, Aidan Burke of Cambridge, Jillian Burke and Brynn Burke of Winchester.  Arrangements are presently incomplete and will be announced later in the day.  Remembrances made be made in honor of Mr. Giacchetto to Friends of Woburn Veterans, 144 School Street, Woburn, MA 01801

Warren C. Giacchetto passed away at his home, Sunday morning, July 12th, with his beloved wife Ruth M. (Hassett) Giacchetto by his side.  Mr. Giacchetto was ninety – four years of age.

Warren was one of seven children born to the late Charles and Maria Giacchetto.  Born and raised in Cambridge, Warren was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School.  All while growing up all the children participated in and helped out with their parent’s bakery,” Warren Bakery, in Cambridge. Shortly after high school Warren enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country during World War II. All while growing up all the Giacchetto children participated in and helped out with their parent’s bakery,” Warren Bakery,” in Cambridge.  Following the War, Warren returned home to Cambridge where he continued with the family bakery, soon becoming in charge there.  He enjoyed thoroughly all that went into the business and having made so many friends and acquaintances over the years.

When he married the love of his, Ruth they moved to the suburbs!  Always a gentle man, he was of great faith and conviction.  Warren and Ruth shared over 65 years together.  Their children and grandchildren where his world.

Remembrances made be made in honor of Mr. Giacchetto to Friends of Woburn Veterans, 144 School Street, Woburn, MA 01801

    Uncle Warren your WW2 stories kept us fascinated and entertained for hours. I enjoyed exchanging historical books with you before we both couldn’t read any more. We always had great debates about current events of the day. Love and miss you!
