Robert “Bob” Galante – of Stoneham Saturday, July 11th. Beloved long-time companion of Carlene J. Arsenault. Loving stepfather to Scott Arsenault, his wife Nancy of Stow, and Mark Arsenault, his wife, Melissa of Billerica, and Their children Madeleine, Patrick, Audrey, Casey, and Aiden. Dear brother of Dennis Galante, his wife Joanne of Winchester. A Memorial service will be held in the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home 263 Main St. Woburn on Thursday, July 16th at noon. A calling hour will be held from 11am to noon prior to the Memorial Service. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. PLEASE, enter though the front door of the Funeral Home and exit through the back door. Masks MUST be worn throughout your time on the premises for your safety and ours, along with adhering to safe distancing. Robert “Bob” Galante passed away at the Woburn Nursing Center on Saturday, July 11th.   The beloved companion of Carlene J. Arsenault, Bob was seventy four years of age.

Born in Woburn, Bob was the son of Italo and Marie (Mistretta) Galante.  Raised in the Horn Pond section of the city Bob was very involved with his community. He attended Woburn Schools and was a graduate of Woburn High School, where he excelled in baseball.  Bob went on to Suffolk University where he graduated from receiving his degree in Business.  He secured himself a position with Revlon, where he worked for many years, having travelled the country. 

Bob moved to Stoneham and throughout the years always enjoyed participating in sports and was a long time member of  a Men’s Softball League.  He always enjoyed attending and participating in all sports and enjoyed his time on the golf course with family and friends.

Bob shared his life with his long time companion Carlene, and her children.  He was actively involved in all of the kids activity, celebrating in all their achievements and accomplishments.  His grandchildren were a wonderful addition to their lives and whom he shared a special relationship, as a group and also individually.

Bob also got involved in a program teaching children how to read across America, and he did!  He loved this program and had done it for quite a while, enjoying every minute.

    I’m so sorry to hear about Bob. Many fond memories of family gatherings, many laughs and peaceful summer evenings the porch on Ellis Street. My thoughts are with you all — Carlene, Dennis and Joanne, and all his nieces and nephews.

  3. My condolences to the Galante and Arsenault families. I went to St. Charles and Woburn High School with Bob. Also played Little League and park league baseball with him. RIP Bob
