Margaret C. “Peg” (McEachern) Murphy – of Woburn, June 24th. Beloved wife of the late Francis M. Murphy. Devoted mother of Paul Murphy, his wife Sue of Spokane, James Murphy, his wife Edith of Rockland, Lesley Murphy of Stoneham, Andrew Murphy, his wife Kathleen of Woburn, the late Deborah Duffy, David Murphy and Paul Cain. Adored grandmother of Christopher, Kevin, Matthew, Colin, Michael, Joanna, and Katelyn and great-grandmother to Gemma. Dear sister of Mary Caroll of FL, and the late Eleanor Daley, her husband John and John McEachern, his wife Ann. Margaret C. “Peg” (McEachern) Murphy, a lifelong resident of Woburn, died peacefully, June 24th at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis M. Murphy.

 
Born and raised in Woburn, Peg was a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Matthews) McEachern. She was educated in Woburn and a graduate of St. Charles High School, class of 1940. 
 
Devoted mother of: the late David Murphy of Woburn and the late Deborah Duffy of Lowell; Paul Murphy, his wife Sue of Spokane, James Murphy, his wife Edith of Rockland, Lesley Murphy of Stoneham, Andrew Murphy, his wife Kathleen of Woburn. Adored grandmother of Christopher, Kevin, Matthew, Colin, Michael, Joanna, and Katelyn and great-grandmother to Gemma.
 
Dear sister of Mary Caroll of FL, and the late Eleanor Daley, her husband John and Late Brother John McEachern, his wife Ann.
 
Peg married her longtime love, Francis Manley Murphy and together raised six children. Peg was devoted and dedicated to her family and always put them first – doing anything for them without hesitation! She was loving, generous and strong and passed those qualities on to her family.
 
Peg was a lover of music and an avid and accomplished pianist. The “Sound of Music” was a favorite movie of her that she loved watching with her granddaughter Katelyn.
 
She was a longtime communicant of St. Charles Church and a member of their choir. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten by the ones she loved most.
