Mary Ann (Gillis) Ganley – of Woburn, May 5th, 2020 at ninety years of age.  Beloved wife of the late James Francis Ganley.  Cherished mother of James Ganley Jr., Ann Marie McGonagle, her husband Steven of Billerica, Janice Urquhart, her husband Troy of Woburn, Peter Ganley, his wife Jennifer of PA, and Christina Currin, her husband Casey of Tx. Dear sister of James Gillis and the late John Gillis. Loving grandmother of Ronald, Katherine, Samantha, Christi, Colleen, Evan, Alissa, Collin and Malia and great-grandmother of Brayden. The family would also like to thank all the nurses and staff at the Hearthstone at Choate in Woburn for thier love, care and dedication, to Mary and all of the residents there. Remembrances may be made in honor of Mary to the Hearthstone .  Due to the current situation we are experiencing with the Corona Virus, arrangements are private and under the direction of the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn.  

Mary Ann (Gillis) Ganley – of Woburn, May 5th, 2020 at 90 years of age. Born on June 18th, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John & Elizabeth (Doyle) Gillis, and beloved wife of the late James Francis Ganley with whom she shared 40 years of marriage before his passing on Christmas Day 1993. Together they raised five children. She was the cherished mother of James Ganley Jr., Ann Marie McGonagle, her husband Steven of Billerica, Janice Urquhart, her husband Troy of Woburn, Peter Ganley, his wife Jennifer of PA, and Christina Currin, her husband Casey of TX. Dear sister of James Gillis and the late John Gillis. Loving grandmother of Ronald, Christi, Katherine, Samantha, Colleen, Evan, Alissa, Collin and Malia and great-grandmother of Brayden.     Words cannot express the sorrow I feel with Mary’s passing. The fact that you cannot have proper burial services is unimaginable. I will always treasure our times together visiting with Sally and Mary at Hearthstone.

We miss our conversations while outside working whether it be raking, planting, our shoveling. She was so proud of all you and spoke lovingly of all of you often.
