Roger C. Madore – of Woburn, February 12th at ninety-two years of age. Beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Hurley) Madore. Loving father of James V. Madore of Woburn and Stephen J. Madore, his wife Sandra of Chelmsford. Dear brother of the late Larry Madore, and twin sisters, Corinne Papa and Carol Stentiford. Cherished grandfather of Craig S. Madore of Medford and Andrea E. Madore of Chelmsford. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Tuesday, February 18th at 9:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours in the Funeral Home, from 8-9:45 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass. Interment is Private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House c/o Lahey Philanthropy 41 Mall Road Burlington, MA, 01805

Roger C. Madore – of Woburn, died peacefully, February 12th at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading at ninety-two years of age. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Hurley) Madore.

Born and raised in Salem, MA, Roger was a son of the late Augustine and Dorine (LeBlanc) Madore. He was educated in Salem and a graduate of Salem High School. After High School, Roger served his country proudly in World War II as part of the US Army, until being honorably discharged.

Upon his return, Roger met the love of his life Mary, and eventually married. They settled in Massachusetts and made their home in Woburn, where they remained for over 50 years.

For over 25 years, Roger worked a s a letter carrier for the US Post Office out of Lexington.

Roger was an active man and enjoyed taking bike rides, visiting the ocean, boating and caring for his home and yard. He and Mary wintered in Lake Whales, Florida for many years as well. He was an avid sports fan but especially of the Red Sox. However, his greatest joy was his family and he enjoyed spending time with them.  He will be greatly missed.
